We had previously worked for this client. He had a tree at the back of his property that was growing through his existing car port. They wanted to build a new shed/carport as the old one was deteriorating and the shed falling apart.
The only sensible solution was to remove the tree. It had poor form and was mainly growing over the neighbour’s garden depositing its debris and the birds that frequented it. We specified to remove the tree using rigging techniques, then used our crane to remove the trunk sections.
We used ply sheets to protect the neighbours shed roof. The tree was successfully dismantled without using rigging to lower the upper branches to the ground in a safe manner. The remaining section of tree was removed using our crane, reducing the risk of damage as well as reducing manual labour. The stump was left at ground level, not needed to be removed. All set for the new car port.
